While our focus at BlackjackHacks is obviously blackjack, we would never dissuade anybody from trying their hand at other casino games. After all, trying a number of different games is an excellent way to keep things fresh in the casino.
Blackjack dealer Chiab "Chip" Saechao would certainly have to agree with us on this subject since he recently won the Casino Employees Championship at the 2012 WSOP. Following his big victory, Saechao earned $70,859 and a much-appreciated WSOP gold bracelet.
Big Plans
With nearly $71k in poker winnings, Saechao has some big plans for his money....or at least his wife does. The Tachi Casino (California) dealer told reporters, "I will pay off a lot of my debt. And, I will give some of it to my wife so she can buy some nice things." Saechao is also excited about the gold bracelet that came with the victory, and he said, 'I plan to wear it and show it off. Not too many can come over here to Las Vegas and go back home with this."
Fulfilling Job
As for his job as a blackjack dealer, Chip still loves what he does after saying, "I like working in the casino business. It’s fast money and it sure beats working out in the hot sun." The Thailand native originally got into blackjack dealing because he thought it seemed like an exciting profession. Obviously the money must be pretty good too!
A Knack for Poker
Chiab Saechao knew he had a thing for poker after winning a WSOP Main Event seat in the first ever tournament he played. Following that victory, he won another Main Event seat the following year, which gave him plenty of experience for the Casino Employees Championship. Now it's likely that he'll be even more fueled to play poker after his first WSOP victory.
